Led by our passionate community of farmers, our half-day farm experience provides students with an engaging, hands-on opportunity to discover where their food comes from, understand the challenges faced by farmers today, and how they can contribute to building a more sustainable food system for the future.
We kick off all our programs by providing an overview of The Farm and the farming practices we use.
The rest of the half-day experience is tailored to your class's needs, offering a choice of up to three of the below topics:
· Sustainable and alternative farming practices
· Food systems and supply chains
· Climate change and agriculture
· Indigenous agriculture
· Animal welfare and ethical farming
Our program caters to students of all year levels, allowing them to engage in activities such as harvesting vegetables, making a rain gauge and designing their own kitchen gardens.
By demonstrating the importance of sustainable farming practices and supporting small-scale farmers, we aim to empower the next generation to make a positive impact on the planet, creating a brighter and more sustainable future for all.
